Hold it in a warm hand, or carry it out into the sun, and the body shifts to a different colour — then run it under the cold tap and it goes back. The paint does this over and over, and in Dubai you do not even need the tap water trick to make it happen.
This one is on its way to our Dubai store. It is not selectable in the box builder yet — message us and we will tell you the day it lands, and hold some for your party if your date allows.
A die-cast car is a die-cast car. This one has a trick that works on demand, as many times as they want to do it — which is why it does not get put down after five minutes.
Thermochromic pigment in the top coat. Warm it past about 35°C — a warm palm, a sunny windowsill, a few seconds in the car — and the body colour shifts. Cold water brings it straight back.
Nothing is used up, so it is not a one-time reveal. Children run it under the tap, warm it in a fist, and do it again. Some of them spend the afternoon finding new ways to trigger it.
A die-cast shell with a plastic base and a detachable rear wing on most styles. It has the weight a toy car should have — it rolls properly across a tiled floor instead of skittering.
Different body shapes and colours are in rotation. Each comes on its own printed card showing what that one turns into when it heats up. We pack whichever are in stock, so the table gets a mix.

Sourced from a verified maker. The colour change needs warmth, not heat — a warm hand or a sunny windowsill is the whole trick, and children should never be told to use a kettle, a hob, a hairdryer or hot tap water to speed it up. Hot water scalds long before it makes the car change any faster. One more thing worth knowing in Dubai: anything left in a parked car in summer gets far hotter than 35°C, so it may come back already changed and stay that way until it cools. The rear wing lifts off on most styles and is a small part, so this one is not for children who still put things in their mouths.
