A bag of felt petals, a pile of buttons, a bundle of wire stems and a little vase to wrap in coloured cord. Thread, stack, twist, and what comes out is a bouquet that sits on a bedroom shelf for years — made by the child, not handed to them finished.
This one is on its way to our Dubai store. It is not selectable in the box builder yet — message us and we will tell you the day it lands, and hold some for your party if your date allows.
Most party crafts end up in the bin by the weekend. This one ends up on a windowsill, and the child tells visitors they made it.
Not a colouring page. Layered felt petals, a button centre and a wire stem make a flower with actual depth to it, and a dozen of them fill a vase.
Three colours of paper cord wrap around the vase in stripes. It is repetitive in the way children like, and it is where the thing stops looking like a kit.
More often than not this gets made and then handed to a mother or a grandmother. It is the only favour in the box that turns into a present.
Everything needed is in the bag, including the double-sided tape. Eight flower shapes in rotation and we pack whichever we have.

Sourced from a verified maker. This is the most grown-up craft in our range and it is for ages 6 and up: the buttons are small, and the stems are wire — paper-wrapped, but wire, with ends that want folding over rather than left pointing. It is a sit-at-a-table gift with an adult within reach, not one for a car journey. Not for a party with toddlers around, because loose buttons on a floor are exactly what a toddler finds first.
